Broadening Your Game

When trying to become a top basketball player, it is always good to find players that have already achieved what you want to be. If it is to be a division 1 player then it would be good to watch a lot of college basketball games. If you are just looking to play in the high school level well it would be good to watch high school games. This will help you realize how hard you have to work to not only get to this level but to play at this high level as well. I suggest for any striving basketball player to keep track of their local college or high school team or just pick a favorite team to follow. This will also open your eyes to new basketball. Your probably thinking new, what do you mean new? Well even though shooting, dribbling, and passing will make you a good player. There are other aspects of the game that is learned by watching others play. Some of these aspects is court vision and basketball IQ. If you can watch a good point guard he or she will have both of these. The only way to obtain these is by experience playing and by watching others play that are more advanced than you. Here is a link to the University of Texas pan American men’s basketball team to help you get started on checking some teams out.
